Agency  vs.  Procuring Cause and REALTOR Ethics
The primary purpose of this elective course is to
identify, distinguish and discuss the differences between
agency relationships and being the procuring cause of a successful transaction,
PLUS a study of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

In a "fast-paced" market with multiple offers, often there is an increase
in the number of arbitration petitions filed with REALTOR® associations and,
in some circles, legal action regarding procuring cause.

This elective course is not designed to be a "connect-the-dots" course.
That is, this is not a "here is the law, now obey it" course.
But rather, this is a fact based, read-discuss-analyze and then assess the merits of
"how do you do this" when engaged in an agency relationship.

Also, this is to be an open discussion or forum, where the entire class engages in a
"how-to-do and what-to-do and what-to-not-do"
when presenting, explaining and executing agency agreements,
and then to adhere to the terms of such agreement.
